What is a Fab Lab?
Fab Lab is short for Fabrication Laboratory. A Fab Lab is a rapid prototyping facility packed to the brim with a variety of advanced technologies that will allow you to create (almost) anything you set your mind to. For more details on the specific capabilities of our lab, click HERE.
Who can use the lab?
While most labs in America are tied to community colleges or higher education institutions, our lab is the first K-12 lab in the state to be on the global list of labs (https://www.fablabs.io/map). This means our lab is open to ANYONE and EVERYONE. Whether you’re a science teacher that wants to 3D print an anatomically correct heart, a student who needs an object laser engraved for a class project, or a local entrepreneur with the need to rapidly prototype your latest idea, our lab welcomes you! Using the lab does come at a cost, though, so be sure to check out our various memberships and pick the level that is right for you.
