MHS Band Students and Parents:
Welcome to the Muskogee Band Family. Congratulations on your decision to be a part of one of the finest organizations in Muskogee Public Schools. The Pride of Muskogee provides a wide variety of musical opportunities that allows everyone a chance to reach their highest possible level of excellence and artistry.
The Pride of Muskogee kick off the school year with band camp, and the opportunity to hone their playing skills as well as begin the process of learning the show for our outstanding marching band.  Performances in marching band include preview night for our supportive parents, home and away football games, contests as well as parades.
The Muskogee Pride Program features an emphasis on our concert organizations.  These focus on a student's personal growth in developing their talents as an artist.  Our performing ensembles will present several public concerts as well as assessments at the District and State levels by the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Association.
In addition to ensemble success, members of the Muskogee Pride distinguish themselves through individual efforts in Eastern District Honor Band, All-State, OSSAA District-State Solo & Ensemble Contests, and other Honor band activities.
Hard-working students, dedicated, staff members, involved and active parents, and a supportive administration, and community all combine to make it possible for the Muskogee Pride to offer an outstanding array of musical opportunities.
Our students are expected to set and reach high goals for themselves and their program.  The rewards of meeting those expectations are immeasurable in the development  of our students as well-rounded human beings and artists.  Members of the Muskogee Pride will develop musically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and physically during their time in the program.
Remember to have a great band, we must all maintain a strong commitment to excellence!
